My research focus was in construction stormwater management, where I implemented field evaluation techniques on active DOT construction sites. I worked with the Iowa DOT, FHWA, and ISU faculty to develop and implement design guidance on erosion and sediment control practices used throughout construction phasing.  Practices were examined for their erosion and sedimentation potential, structural integrity, and impact on stormwater quality.
